The Citadel Poem by Hamid eldood Mahdi

The Citadel

Rating: 3.0

I must admit
The moment I step in, ‎
I feel it deep down inside me, ‎
The sense of security, stability, and tranquillity.‎
By wings of angels I do ascend
And flutter high in the sky.‎

The Godly lights of heaven creep in, ‎
The live sparks of life hover, ‎
The lifeful spirit replaces the spiritless soul, ‎
The spiritual waves of faith engulf the soulless distance.‎
Therein, the soulful moments of faithful earnest piety, ‎
Embrace me, reflecting a Divine Hug of soul and body: ‎
‎ Fusion and intermingling, the language of GOD

Peaceful love - loveable peace
Cups of nectar distributed among the followers, ‎
Fragrance of breaths -are gifts of heaven -‎
Move gleefully are - the disciples left and right, ‎
Up and down, ‎
Drifted submissively by the currents of sacred wine.‎
All sway, hither and thither
Drunkards intoxicated without booze.‎
