The Commandments Poem by Randy McClave

The Commandments

They can remove the 10 commandments off the wall
But, they can't remove them from the heart,
Walls will crack, and walls will fall
But, from the soul those virtues will never depart.
Those commandments should always be obeyed
Not by reading them on a wall, but by deeds and actions,
Not where because politicians had them placed and laid
Just to bring on votes, onlookers and attractions.
The 10 commandments are the laws of God
They should all be etched on every soul and mind,
Not one of them is a fraud
Our life by them should all be shaped and defined.
Before there is ever an argument or a squall
And before any trial or judgements will ever start,
Before the commandments are taken off the wall
They should have already been written on the heart.
