A smart man doesn't tell you how smart that he is
He never needs to take a I.Q quiz,
On his knowledge he never shows off or brags
His intelligence never lags.
A rich man doesn't tell you how rich that he is
And how much money that is truly his,
He begs no one for money or ever needs to get a loan
Because, he has money to buy and keep what he does own.
Tough men don't tell you how tough they are
You never hear them brag about with whom they did spar,
And a tough man is not a bully and he never does run
And he never needs back up, or a rifle or a gun.
Honest men don't tell you how honest that they are
But, they are honest and trustworthy as the North Star,
Unto no one could they ever cheat or sin or lie
Before they did that, an honest man would surely die.
A smart man doesn't need to tell you his intellect
A rich man doesn't need to tell you how much wealth that he does collect,
And a tough man doesn't need to tell you about his toughness
An honest man doesn't need to tell you his honesty, others will confess.
These type of men don't need to show off or brag what is true,
But, the con men always do.
