'The Consummation

'The Consummation - Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr (FjR)

Serendipitously, we consummated;
must have been the hard thunder-

that distanced me from consequence,
and the lightening that would follow;

so betaken by the verve of your aura,
the landscape of my mind impeded-

what in prologue I had not considered,
though in epilogue I bare no rue;

lovely lady comfort me again,
lay your soft breasts upon my flesh,

hear the drumming of my thunder,
feel the strike of my lightening,

lovely lady take me in, and know, in me,
your heart and soul be ever warm and safe.
