All hail, all hail, the cottontail,
a spartan's life lives he,
faster than a sudden gale,
with boundless energy.
All hail, all hail, the cottontail,
speed demon of the wastes,
forever eating without fail,
departing suddenly, post haste.
Licking dew in tiny drops,
deriving sustenance,
from plants that o'er he gently hops,
while maintaining vigilence.
And then he's gone, a blinding streak,
and now the day is done,
All hail, all hail, the cottontail,
forever on the run.
