The Crooked Judge Poem by Terry Dawson

The Crooked Judge

Rating: 5.0

An entry bowl, a hungry child
The crooked judge, the law defiled
May all despise red robe more
Who has his debts paid by the poor
And in the court, verdicts for sale
The innocent will rot to jail
The honest men, the flowing tears
The awful waste, the hollow years.

Injustice and corruption are social ills that bring a nation to darkness. Very incisive write.

Unfortunately corruption is a reality all over the world. Good poem.
