The Cross Is Empty Poem by Gary James Smith

The Cross Is Empty

Rating: 5.0

The Cross Is Empty

The Cross is empty
As well the tomb
We have a Saviour
Who delivers from doom
Who reigneth over us
Because He lives
And so great Salvation
To us He gives

He paid our sin debt
Yes everyone
His blood sufficient
To get it done
Where in the garden
Upon His knees
He gave up His will
His Father to please

What love of Jesus
To love us so
To leave yon heaven
For earth below
Where in a fashion
Of humility
He came unto His own
And.. bore Calvary

Lord help me cherish
What You have done
To forgive my sin
And of everyone
Just true repentance
Is Salvation's key
That unlocks the door
To...Faith's Victory!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
