The Crucifixion Of Life Poem by Jocelyn Dunbar

The Crucifixion Of Life

The life struggle, adversity, sorrow,
Pain, broken life, hurt, heartache,
Wounds, diseases, anxiety;

People that give trouble, our burden;
Things aren't what we expected, desperation;

Our aching, wearies, tears that flowing,
Experiencing the system we have
Day by day, in some other way,
Smiles, laughter, the beauty that we have inside
Despite the difficult conditions.

Ohhh! the expression of our every breath
That we inhale and exhale.
Our eyes cry when we are in the
Midst of pain, our thoughts that smile
When we experience beautiful things.

Every step of the way, walking in the long
Journey carry the cross, we feel
Every bit of affliction so much, so deep;

I cannot imagine or express how hard
It is in the journey of life.

We likely have the wings to fly and the faith that
Move us, the belief that we can hold on to

We are not permanent in this world
All things that we suffer in life are
The fundamental experience of ourselves and
To the next generation.

The peace and beauty that we are longing for in
Silence, at last, is a restful place.
