The Crusader Of Love (Refined) Poem by Alexander Romanov

The Crusader Of Love (Refined)

In the gloom of my chamber, where darkness did reign,
I sat alone, my heart consumed by pain.
The shadows around me were my only friend,
As I sought to find solace in the darkness that would never end.

With blood from my veins, I painted your portrait on the wall,
And fell into the abyss of nightmares, feeling so small.
Your beauty, love, and grace, I longed for with all my might,
Hoping one day I'd be blessed with your sweet and pure light.

Lost in the raven black night, I searched for you in vain,
My tears like the rain, a never-ending source of pain.
Without you, I am lost, consumed by my despair,
Grateful for the release of death, my soul forever in your care.

Your kiss, so sweet and pure, is all that I crave,
Without you, I am nothing, an empty, loveless grave.
Please come to me, let me hold you tight,
And we'll fly away on love's wings, out of sight.

But alas, it's just a dream, a fantasy so true,
For you reside in the heavens, far from my view.
I am alone, my fate forever sealed,
In the darkness, I wait, my fate forever revealed.

I crawl in your shadow, consumed by my shame,
As twilight whispers your name, and I cry out in pain.
You smile, as tears stream down my face,
Leaving me in this lonely place.

With you, loneliness is slain, and I am complete,
But without you, I am nothing, an incomplete, shattered sheet.
A crusader of love, I shall remain,
My heart beats with a sacred, passionate aim.

Your heart is my destination, my love my eternal obligation,
Fate may separate us, oceans apart, but your name is engraved on my heart.
As winter approaches and darkness encroaches,
My end draws near, and my spirit hopes and approaches.

Without you, my love, there is no peace in rest,
Not over the skies, nor over the seas unrest.
If I fall in my sacred crusade,
My lonely spirit shall watch over you with love's aid.

Hopeful and praying, that you'll join me someday,
Together we'll soar on sacred wings, far away.
