The Cry Of Pain Poem by HAFID CHAHIDI

The Cry Of Pain

Rating: 4.0

Once upon a time

A woman stood still

In a long corridor in a hostel

Seemed very distraught

Thinking about her offspring;

She was weeping all the time

Not knowing what to do

Kept asking herself

Who can save my daughter‘s life!

The only one she has got in her life;

Seemingly; she shouted out of blue

Asking people; who were watching;

What to do!

Nobody gave a monkey’s to her appeal;

Once no one cared about her;

She just began praying to God

To bless her daughter’s soul

To forgive her daughter’s sins;

Alas! That mother in the long corridor

Whose tears have become as a river

That kept flowing

From an unknown source;
