The Day I'll Tell My Story Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

The Day I'll Tell My Story

One day I'll tell a story
So loaded to fill up a whole lorry
It won't have an end
For it won't trend

Fatherhood aint in the hood
It takes a lot to be good
And my story's not gory
One day I'll narrate it n' not be sorry

Power n' strength
Leadership n' girth
Many would still disagree with me
But I know my story aint extreme

One day I'll have the guts
To go back n' rebuild my huts
Challenging the dimwits
Who rely solely on mean twits.
