The Day That I Died - Poem by Mowie DeCorp

The day that I died

I thought I was to be living

To live a new day

And find out what was ahead of me

Little did I know,

I was to die in the morning

Beside my two best friends

Who are my friends no longer

I gave them my soul

I gave them my trust

I believed what they told me

Believed nothing would go wrong

Little did I know

My life was to be over

The day they stabbed me

In the back over and over

I thought they were my friends

Best friends forever and ever

I thought I could count on them

When I needed a friend the most

That night they killed me

With a very painful death

They didn’t even give me

The chance to say goodbye

The day that I died

I wanted to be living

Now I am dead

And lying forever by myself
