The Dead End Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Dead End

Rating: 5.0

'I looked above and tried to find'
Those lovely eyes which were so kind
I trusted her and remained completely dependent
She was around me all the time and present

My eyes have become wet and not probing
I feel helpless, tired and only sobbing
I fear about somebody's presence
Hence look down and don't raise the face

The life time bond should not break
It must be drawn long to converse or speak
As one may need another at any time
Couples are destined not to last long sometimes

I knew well how painful it was today?
I cried relentlessly as found no other way
She was proving unbearable with pain
I wept and remembered her again

She is no more with me in this world
I have been left alone to suffer the cold
It is almost dry and sultry surrounding
I control the sentiments but immediately rebounding

I saw her hiding in dark clouds
As she emerged with silver lining to speak loud
I was watching her helplessly
But she was there guiding me readily

'Don't feel sad´ as I am here
To show you the way with light there
You may not miss me for complete time
Shed your sadness and come out of bad time

I just listened to her words with care
They were inspiring me to dare
Not to get frightened with immediate vacuum
It would be better if I regained posture and kept mum

One day it comes in everybody's life time
We are left behind to see the painful time
Even though it is not in our hand
Yet that proves unimaginable dead land

Though the poem is long, I did not stop somewhere to breathe! The feeling of a lonely human on the departed soul! Hasmukh Amathalal! Good!
