' The Death' Master And ' I' The Slave Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

' The Death' Master And ' I' The Slave

Inevitable end of this incoherent journey I walk
Thy, the death my master, I am the contumelious slave
You have chained me up and guided to zigzag roads
Under the Sun in the day and moon in the night of dark light

To free from you is the end of this bond
Until that, thy must take care of me
By the cradle of embryo to the different boxes
A duty given that may be a headache for you

At the behind me a ghost or on the frontline a rebel
You push the hope and drag the dream to encourage me
To console the pain and tire of life, you douse me to be active
When I am passive and gaze at you in a nihilist moment

At the cross road on the red light, every one is stopped
Turned out herbs into drugs and liquids are risen up
Science of knowledge competes yet on behalf of thy order
Even nuclear against humans because of thy fear of world view

Not you but different sounds surround in anonymous way
Taken shadow which belongs to you makes me hurt and decay
Though you the master and we have a bond until the end of way
Beside thy will and right of the sign I wish not to break our bond

You have a burden in that no any atom on your soul you take
Instigated world is turned to a Sisyphean sense for useless profit
Setting free to a phenomenon process being confused to a meaning
You keep the key and I am waiting till the bell is rung

Why I be a slave of thy shadow who make me afraid on this journey
How it gained power of thy to chop my heart and mind in melancholy
Now thy superiority and trust of shine shades in me suspiciously
Then I cut my chain and score the bond out to get free out from the way
