Nietzsche - that dark, daring prophet -
Was the first to proclaim God's death.
As Nature abhors a vacuum,
He offered the stern ubermensch
To the tenebruous, lonely crowd.
When God's sudden death was announced,
The obituaries were blank,
And others weighed in with further,
Fresher, free form philosophies.
At last we were to discover
Our original selves; stripped of
ornamental superstition.
And choose finally unfettered
Our unique human destiny.
Yet the more perspicacious ones
Hearing it; wept bitterly;
Knowing with complete certainty of
Beating pulse just how pitiless
The brand new, 'improved' gods would be.
At last we were to discover Our original selves; stripped of ornamental superstition. And choose finally unfettered Our unique human destiny., , , very interesting and thought provoking writing..... can anyone believe in the death of a God unless he resurrects himself from the grave? ? ? ? ? thank you dear poet. tony

I would like to translate this poem
How can you proclaim the death of non existence? The human mind, in most, has wanted a higher being forever. I can tell you it's a figment of imagination.
Nietszche, as I'm sure you're aware, used the term ' the death of God' not me...thanks for finally putting me straight about something theologians and philosophers have debated for centuries. I bow to your superior knowledge! ! !
