The Death Of The Perfect Man Poem by Kevin Patrick

The Death Of The Perfect Man

Rating: 5.0

He lived a dutiful and honest life
He was the perfect son,
He achieved a top mark in school
He attained a great professional job
He gained the ideal wife
They produced the model children
They had the perfect house
And outraced and beat the Joneses
But when he lay on his deathbed
He wept and raged through his final days
Because he realized at the end
That it was never his life to live

My conclusion of your excellent poem: The richest people in wealth can never appreciate or be grateful to his vibrant life, something is always missing, it is better to be the poorest, then every drop of rain is appreciated
