The Devil In Me Poem by Ima Ryma

The Devil In Me

The devil got into my mind
And made me think such evil thought.
The devil cleverly designed
To make me do what I should not.
Oh, heaven help me, others pried
Into the goings on in me,
And the devil in me replied
These others were just foolishly
Being a downer on my high.
The devil in me had firm hold,
No matter how heaven might try,
The deal was done, my soul was sold.

I let the devil in to dwell,
And I turned myself into hell.
