The Difference Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

The Difference

The Difference

Do not ask: "Why, how, when,
Was your gut filled with hate? "

Instead, find mirror,
Look in it, see yourself,
Make sure to be honest,
Read deeply, see all the,
Men who came as looters!

Even now, yes, today,
You, along with friends,
Spent time, your efforts,
To find ship, and sailors…

Yes, of course, Franklin,
The sunken and lost ship,
On her way for killing
My people, the Natives!

Yes, many of our men,
Children, and women,
Kept running hungry,
In search of safety!

Franklin was coming,
As spice, had decree:
"Increase murdering! "

To me and my kind and
Those people who may care,
You have been, are racists!

Behind bar, in the jail
You keep me like tiger,
In the zoo, inside cage,
And call it: "A Reserve! "

Do not ask me question,
Penetrate in yourself:
"See money, time spent,
For finding those killers? "
