The Dimpled Maiden Poem by Chea En Suos

The Dimpled Maiden

By fate's design and heaven's grace,
Good fortune led me to this place.
To a friend's wedding I came that day,
And met a dimpled girl along the way.

Was it destiny, or something more?
My heart began to race and soar.
As wedding melodies filled the air,
My eyes kept finding the maiden there.

When she smiled and turned my way,
Her sparkling eyes had much to say.
Her lovely grin outshone them all,
And left my captive heart enthralled.

O dimpled maiden, sweet and fair,
The wedding music filled the air.
Let young and old all witness now,
I'd ask your hand without delay somehow.

Why wait for tomorrow or another day?
I'd make my honest feelings stay.
So do not turn and walk away,
Let's share life's blanket all the way.
