The Dragons Fanfare Poem by Troy Clark

The Dragons Fanfare

There's a dragon inside
Greedily guarding the secrets and faults of others
Gladly accepting upon himself others pain
Depression, anxiety, it gladly act as councilor
Not knowing the shell grows insane

Can you take flight towards the moon or sun
When lacking fleshed spines and persistent thought
Finding the answers down iron cylinders
Or in a sinners brew
Even the mundane Gods
No peace will follow you into the chilly maws of silence
Father, come catch the rabbits that run

Echo does the Dragons breath
Against the yellow river banks
It goes to show that beyond the bend
Is just another play, a tragic love story
Between a lightnings strike and the impact
A thunderclap to lament the bitter frozen moment

Bellow oh hated foe
Your anthem dares go unnoticed
Massacre the denizens with your aria
Scour the oily waters to dust, it is your right
Within the might of the Dragons Fanfare
And in the wake of the burning of the earth
Our Souls will march upon the Dragons throne
and fall into slumber once again
