Hi Daniel, Through the entire poem I felt there was a purpose of staggering in uncertainty. Notwithstanding the power of resistance and abstinence. I wasn't surprised with the outcome as you had bitterly lost your beloved and returned within yourself offering no personal pleasures. Clearly talking to yourself with a wake up call to ponder a newer future was the reward of time and patience. A marvelous piece. The desprictive images and language is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing, Paul

A wonderful Sufi poem. A poet's religion is love and only love. A heightened state of emotions does good to a creative mind. Thanks for giving a flavor of Rumi. You do justice to the theme. Wonderfully expressed feelings.

Great poem. Reminded me of Rumi's poems. So many of them linking wine to a higher state of consciousness! Now we have another one in praise of wine!
