The Dread God Poem by Gert Strydom

The Dread God

When the dread god
rode to war
on his flaming chariot
and went right through the stars
and tried to take
the other angels with him,

he wanted to rise above
the Most High
and establish his throne
above the only God,
but fell out of the heaven
like a lightning bolt from the sky
and were smitten down
on to the earth.
