The Dust Is Gone But Will Is Remain This Way - Poem by Kellie Younger

You made me dust off that closed sign
The sign on my heart
You made me think there was a chance,
But is there?
Or am I just following you to a dead end
I think I really like you
But I can't stand being hurt again
My heart's been broken one too many times
But you forced me to change the sign
And let you knock on the door
I'm addicted to you
But I can't bring my self to tell you
You always ask me
And I always lie
I don't want our friendship to end
But I want us to be more than friends
I need you in my life
Don't mislead me again
Keep the dust off the sign
Open the door and come in
Just please, don't make me fix my heart again
