The Earthquake Deep Within Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

The Earthquake Deep Within

It does not announce itself with thunder,
nor split the ground in a sudden fury.
It stirs in silence,
coiling beneath the weight of time.

Layers shift, unseen,
pressing, grinding, waiting.
A tremor in the marrow,
a fault line etched in bone.

Not all will notice--
the stillness before the break,
the breath held too long,
the pressure that cannot hold.

And then--movement.
Not chaos, but change.
Nou destruction, but release.
The earth does not crumble--
it reshapes.
