The Embezzling Minister Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The Embezzling Minister

Rating: 4.4

Offering protection and cover
Among the disciples of leaves
Camouflaged within a congregation
Among the branches of the trees

The canopy of God’s glory
Is merely a holy disguise
For a respected facsimile
Cleverly masking numerous lies

The celestial clouds are parting…
Light filters through, revealing
Deception… exposing a nest of
Hypocrisy and stealing

Excellent write Theresa. It seems especially awful when the shepherd turns out to be a wolf/ (or maybe I should say a weasel) . Thanks Richard
