With his six string axe
And his three chords stacked
Good old brother Chuck
Could give your folks a heart attack
Burning up the blues
With a rhythm full of soul
He made up the ABCs
Of that church called rock n roll
He could play guitar
And write like Beethoven
Get the kids worked up
As the world's greatest showman
He wrote a call to arms
In Johnny B Good
And a thousand boys marched
And took their dreams where they could
So Move over Elvis
Cause Chuck could sure play
And write a good song
From all hours of the day
King of the electric
His guitar can move your soul
Cause good old chuck
Is the emperor of rock and roll
This guy was the TRUE KING of Rock N Roll! Not only could he play and sing, he wrote some of the best lyrics ever.
Very good poem, Kevin. I have to disagree, though. Chuck Berry was good, and I love his work, but in my opinion, Elvis was better.
A wonderful tribute to a great artist. It expresses in brilliant detail his meaningful works. A well expressed poem.Liked his works on kids and youth. Very inspiring.
