The End Of A Year Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

The End Of A Year

The ending of a year

New Year Eve
Never fail to
Make me depressed
Tonight I will go
To a restaurant
Eat overpriced food
And keep up pretence
At midnight
Clink of glasses
And bleating as
The dumb sheep we are
We have survived
This year too
In a crazy world heading
Towards war
