The End Of The Dance Poem by Lady Darjeeling

The End Of The Dance

Rating: 4.5

Dancing together all night long
Cherishing music and song
You brushed my cheek with your sweet lips
I loved the feeling of your fingertips

Were you not a beautiful being
Didn't we share a wonderful scene
How did it end so soon
I wish it had lasted - your wooing

Instead you disappear into night
And I thrived on that flight
Wishing you would reappear
But you will never come near
Me again

I guess it was just a dance with no strings attached. A well written romantic narrative. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
