The Fact Of Spring

'Less credulous
than the flower
of the plum
and much less
than the gullible one
of the almond
is the poppy flower
waiting for the fact,
epitomizing tact.'

'So what of the star jasmine,
not flowering till late October? '

'That is the flower of the teetotaler.
It is called by some the too-sober.'
