The Fairy I Know Poem by Bishnupada Sethi

The Fairy I Know

No clue I had to know
Which place was that.
There're no signboards.
I had never been there before too.
How could I know the date?
I didn't recognise
Any single soul present around.

Yet I was there-
In a very beautiful garden
Bedecked with bright flowers of various colours
And laid on a carpet of grass.
On a sunny afternoon
A gentle and cool breeze soothing
the surroundings emitted an aura-
Of laughter, joy and lighter mood.

Seated as a beautiful damsel
Expressing a mesmerising and soft chuckle,
Becoming a cynosure of everyone,
She noticed me yet
And I saw her too.
Surely the acquaintance got established-
She was the same girl
Gorgeous and striking as ever
Full of vigour, grace and charms.

Though she was getting ready
For some event very important in her life,
But nothing prevented
As we were happily drifted together
To another space and time,
Much personal and intimate.
I didn't notice anyone there
Nor I remember anything we spoke
Though all I did see and feel
Boundless happiness and joy
Pouring down from everywhere.
The youthful emotions
Drenched our bodies, minds and souls

It is an eternal bliss
Flowing through
From thereon,
From a virtual realm
To my conscious existence.
