The fallen
Breeze as the trees' enemy
-spoke secretly in mischief,
-with branches and leaves:
- "Time has come to stand,
-for changes, if not, leave! "
Fell for wrong tree's kids;
-left dancing with the wind.
Soon their bones were crushed;
-underneath feet and wheels.
Scattered on grass and roadsides
-dead leaves were compiled
-as homeless, refugees;
-in times shaped mount and hill.
The men with vacuums, blowers
-lowered them in graves,
- (carried them with shovels,
-to bury them unmarked, with no sign.)
The fooled leaves of summer
-in the days were handled
-as trash and worthless…
The misled, ignored leaves
-that could not serve purpose
-of the foe (wind, devil)
-remained lost, slandered,
-hungry, unwanted.
Men, women of season
- (Civilised? The learned?)
-saw the leaves as faithless
-to mother that fed them;
-therefore, they…
Changed seasons and green
-turned yellow; faded leaves
-as never existed, had not been!
