The Festival Of Lights Poem by Sanji-Paul Arvind

My Lord Krishna, another form of god,
Was born to uplift justice and to be a guide.
In this world due to decrease of righteousness,
And rising cruelty with no kindness.

Narakasura, the evil demon King,
An arrogant, greedy who did all cruel things.
He held captive 16,000 princess', unwilling,
And stole the chair of Indra, vexing.

Brining all kingdoms under his control,
Taking charge of both heavens, earth and all.
After a long rein with a boon,
Sathyabam and Krishna defeated the evil, with a swoon.

The era was plagued by ailments and diseases,
As humans were with various types of desires.
All the suffering needed to be seized,
As humans perform penance, misdeeds they realize.

The victory of good over evil,
Thus, Diwali is celebrated in Dwapara as a festival.
Signifying the removal of darkness
The attainment of peace, prosperity, and happiness
