The festival of lights

The festival season is on in my country
The mood for" Dipavali"*is filling in some hope for everybody
The crackers are making enough sound
To remind and bring in fresh thrust around

The houses are given fresh outlook from all the aspects
The clean image serves the purpose and everybody reacts
"Who knows" people may exclaim for the coming years
It is traditional for festival of lights

The festival does not belong to any particular community
It is celebrated all over country
People from all the religions take full participation
Greet each other and wish happiness on this occasion

Some of the festivals give binding effect
As it is reflected in our daily acts
The people visit each other's home
Enjoy sweets prepared and offered with welcome

"Saalmubaarak"* happy new year
It may give some thrilling effect in ears
As rivals to forget about past and exchange greetings
That is how we prove ourselves as good human beings

The festivals have origin of great messages
An ancient tradition is well managed
No one takes affront to festivals
But enjoy its arrival
