The Few Poem by Rose McLaughlin

The Few

There are some that come into the world,
They make an impression upon the masses.

There are some that come into the world,
They make a difference.

There are some that come into the world,
They make change within it.

There are a special few,
They are differently recognized.
The masses may not know their existence,
The masses may not know the impression,
The masses may not know the difference,
The masses may not know the change these few make.

These few are loved
These few are respected,
These few make a difference,

They are cherished,
They are admired,
They are gifts from God,
They are the most intelligent,
They are insightful.

Their family,
Their friends,
Their most loved,
Know that the few must be praised,
Know that the few must be appreciated.

These few are the shred of humanity worth saving,
These few are blessings,
These few are the most important.

A small world these few affect,
That they change,
That they make an impression upon,
That they make a difference to.

These few are the most loved.
This small world is friends,
This small world is family,
This small world is ours.
