The Final Lesson: You Are All Alone As Always Poem by Dennis Ryan

The Final Lesson: You Are All Alone As Always

Sunday morning, January 22,2023

One then needs to "wake up" to life
in all its forms, manifestations, find
that life partner who wakes, stimulates
you, enriches you, meets your eyes
with a level, steady, loving gaze,
gives your life meaning and purpose.
But in the end, this is the final lesson—
it's still all up to you. You're still all alone as
you've always been even when she's with you.
