The Final Light Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Final Light

Rating: 5.0

Several hundred suns have set,
Since our last good words,
a love I can't forget.
Alone I walk, where we once stood as two,
I left this house, and met a constant shade of blue.

But in the quiet, something starts to bloom,
A strength I found, escaping from the gloom.
My own heart whispers, a wisdom deep inside,
A steady hand, to become my trusted guide.

Each passing day, a seed of change I sow,
Watching new pathways start to bravely grow.
The sting still lingers, a lesson learned so hard,
But on my own, I'm building my regard.

And though my pockets
feel a little bare,
I sense a richness, beyond all worldly care.
A peace that settles, a spirit taking flight,
Three hundred eighty-seven days, towards my final light.
