The Final Sunrise Of The Dawn Poem by Robert.W. Hamilton

The Final Sunrise Of The Dawn

As i sit and gaze upon,
the glowing sunrise of the dawn
It speaks to me in untold ways,
and reminds me of my past gone days

And in the evening i cast my eyes,
upon the sunset as it dies
It coaxes me to imagine what is ahead,
and i am driven to ponder as i lie in bed

Ever curious of what a new day brings,
as i open my eyes, i hear a sparrow sing
A song of promise of a future unclear,
it dashes away all uncertainty and fear

And yet again i gaze upon,
the glowing sunrise of the dawn
Another day now a year gone by,
as i focus on the clouds in a field where i lie

Now all that aside, as our bodies age,
yet another chapter, we turn the page
Until such a time comes that we will be gone...
the final sunrise of the dawn
