Oh how I envy you my brother,
And the journey you've undertaken.
Oh how I long to see you,
To behold your face happy again.
Your bright eyes, sparkling again,
Your auburn hair once more,
Sets off the handsome features of your face,
And once again life is before you.
A journey just begun,
And another, finally at it's end.
You have raced ahead of us,
You have reached the finish line.
While we linger behind in uncertainty,
On this astral plane called Earth.
While you have begun eternity,
On the celestial level.
We that loved you as we did,
Must comfort ourselves with the knowledge,
That you just ran faster, than we did,
You ran a better race, and therefore arrived first.
But eventually, we, all of us,
Will reach that finish line,
That you have just crossed over,
And are glad and rejoicing in your victory.
At this moment, that is a small comfort,
At this moment we ask ourselves,
How can we continue, how can we go on without you?
But we must, somehow, we must.
The race to the finish line, is neverending,
Everyday some cross over it, and rejoice.
Wait for us ' Mi Hermano' we will,
In God's good time, be with you again.
In memory of my beloved primo hermano,
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
A wonderful tribute.
