The Fire - Poem by Michelle Hyde

A tortured tyrant
A masked murderer
Secret and silent
Growing against darkness
The Fire

How I try to hide
I try to fight it
I know I can not resist
The power that it gives
The Fire

Hidden behind a human heart
Sending a spark
Making a love turn to passion
Turning simplicity into genius
The Fire

It is one and only
It is nothing and every thing
It is the single for it is what it is
The Fire
