The Feeling Of Love Poem by Michelle Hyde

The Feeling Of Love

Rating: 5.0

I watch you from a distance,
Never coming to close,
I don't know this feeling,
I get when you walk past.

I stay my distance,
I don't want to scare you away,
You are the first,
To make me feel this way.

How silly it is,
That I have become so shy,
Almost childish,
This feeling as you walk by.

How am I to know,
How you truly feel,
When I do not show,
This feeling that is real.

Michelle, I loved this poem. The problem is that if you never approach the person you like you'll never know what they are feeling. They might be feeling the same way about you from a distance. Take the chance whatever the out come. You never know if it is not love you might end up with a new friend. Great poem, thanks for sharing it. David

I'm the same with my infatuation. I keep distant from a lot of 'crushes' of mine for out of fear or knowledge of rejection. I've never been the one to make the first move. I always wait patiently and let love come to me. And because of this, love has failed me thus far.
