A fish said to the hook,
You crooked old crook
You tempt us with food
And then haul us up to be cooked.
The hook to this replied,
Sorry, I am just a simple device!
But let me say with no malice
You taste good when fried!
The fish on hearing this said,
You better retire to bed
For I shall never pick up your bait
Though you may for me forever wait!
The conversation between fish and hook is so brilliantly and incisively delineated by you. Wonderful imaginary. The last two lines are much impressive. Thank you dear Rajesh for sharing this beautiful poem.10
