The flag flies high
While soldiers die below
Fighting to have it show
Yet it flies as the winds blow
Through rain and snow
A sign of life among death
A freedom no one can theft
The sky grows grey
The flag stands red
The troops fray
For the blue and white they bled
Victory is won
The war is done
All for the flag
Which now does sag
Yet the flag flies high
An insightful depiction of patriotic spirit - the love and eagerness to defend fatherland is aptly captured in the poem. Thanks for sharing Eddie.
