The Flame Of Our Love Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Flame Of Our Love

The flame of our love dances in the wind
As the reeds sway and wobble in the hurricane.
The flame of our love cannot be suppressed.
Darling, I want to court you again. I want to paint
The face of your heart again with the loving blood
Which flows in my veins. I want to be amused
Again, where you and I will bemuse the sorry quislings,
And the unhappy gossipers. Our flame is eternal.
The flame of our love dances tonight unimpeded.
Its illustriously colorful rays will be part of the decoration.
On the seemingly packed table, there will be a lot of passion,
And the food will be appetizing and the dessert sumptuous.
There will also be a great deal of fun, lyrical and harmonious songs.
You and I will sleep on the terrace in the splendor of the stars,
Where every hour the bells will ring at the summit of the cathedral.
