The Fluttering Butterfly Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

The Fluttering Butterfly

Emerging from a caterpillar
you flutter from flower to flower
across the flowery heath
in search of food
to keep yourself alive

But are you also searching
for a large nettle
on which you can lay your eggs
before your short life
will say goodbye again
