The Fumes Of O - I

I give the benefit of the doubt
to denialists and under-the-carpet sweepers,
for their low-dose absorption of fumes
might have left their brains
unable to contemplate worse than anger,
bad smells and eye trouble
as arising from the fumes of O-I.
(The jury is still out re the eye.)

High-dose recipients know quite well
that muck causes brain damage.

Were I not highly-dosed,
were I a low-dose denialist guy,
I'd probably be saying, 'the poetry I write
is worth the brain damage I get
from the fumes of O-I.'
