The Gate Inevitable Poem by Josey Alfred

The Gate Inevitable

There is a gate through all must pass
We all must pass through it alone.
A gate none can bypass or skip
It is open from time ever.

It is a narrow gate in fact
We can carry nothing with us
Either fortune or fame along-
Or our body or garments,

The call to go through would arrive
Without a heed or healing touch
No fool or wiser would know ever?
For control exist from far, beyond!

So keep the mental baggage safe
For no one knows what exist there!
And across the gate all get, blind-fold,
And no news has come from there ever.

Yonder there is, too dark or bright!
So keep your conscious clean and right
Then you may gain courage to move,
With blind eyes, with inner light
