The Girl From Havendale

To the policeman
who puts aitch where it ain't
(or where it shouldn't be) ,
if his 'h' be genuine,
she know he pick her up
for bein' rude not funny
(and so add to predicament)
if she point out
his 'his', 'hany' and 'hin'
is 'is', 'any' and 'in'.

So what she say
to be funny not rude?
'Me 'ail from Avendale.'
