The Girl Is An Alien Poem by Sophie Allyah

The Girl Is An Alien

I was once in love with a girl
Carved her name in a burl
She has twinkles in her eyes
That could mesmerize

Her lips is red as blood of a dove
Makes me want to kiss thereof
Her hair is as gold that shines
please Lord give me signs!

If my destiny is marrying her
I will stop drinking beer!
I will stop smoking weed!
I will stop being a sinning greed!

But wait! She's too perfect
And everyone is imperfect!
She's like coming out of a dream
Maybe she's not what she seem

Maybe she's not from here but an alien!
Maybe she's an American or Australian
I don't want an alien but a native one
The culture and her language makes no fun

My point is I'm no different from the lazy
So I will not risk on being crazy or maybe
So on that day I stopped looking at her face
Turns out I'm right, for that, I rest my case

The girl's name is Annabele Lee
Like in Poe's but I completely disagree
But don't bother if you haven't got a clue
This is pure fiction nothing here is true

Nice poem. Are you sure you can stop all vices just for her. I doubt. I think find a native girl.
