The Girl With So Much (A Triolet) - Poem by Ben Gieske

She had a lot of charm,
But didn’t like the country.
Swept off my feet by her charm -
She had a lot of charm -
I took the girl off the farm
Far away out of the country.
She had a lot of charm
But didn’t like the country.

+ This poetic form is a Triolet - a French form which has
a single stanza of eight short lines with two rhymes.
The rhyming formula is” A-B-a-A-a-b-A-b with the capital
letters representing the repeated lines.
