The Greatest Man Poem by Randy McClave

The greatest man there ever was
Was the one who taught us forgiveness and gave us love,
He continues to invite us into a story of redemption
With no exemption.
He had no slave and not even a servant
Unto him people became more observant,
To him he was seen as their pastor
But, instead they called him their master.
He had no diploma and not a degree
But, he set the soul and the mind free,
Many listened to him as if listening to a preacher
Yet! they called him their teacher.
He had no medicines and no pills
But, the sick he heals,
To all he was the revealer
Yet! they called him healer.
He had no army or no military force
Yet kings feared him and his course,
He won no military battles with banners unfurled
But, yet he conquered the world.
He did not live in a castle or a guarded fortress
For his success,
He never wore armor or carried a sword
Yet they called him our Mighty Lord.
He ruled no nations
Or controlled or ruled populations,
Punishment he did not bring
But, they still called him king.
He committed no evil or no crimes
Not then, or when, or a few or sometimes,
But, him they crucified
They enjoyed it when he suffered and died.
He was buried in a tomb
There was buried the groom,
But, the truth is as he did ever say
So, he still lives today.
His kingdom is not of this world
No nation flag is unfurled,
He does not lie or trick or deceive
Yet! he lies in the hearts of the ones who believe.
He spoke of love and forgiveness
His love for all he did profess,
And his words has transformed millions
He preached about in homes, churches and pavilions.
He offers no material wealth
From which he cares not and is dealth,
In heaven no wealthy or billionaires are there
When for wealth and riches is their ultimate care.
When the greedy and the sinful are dead
Unto hell the unrighteous and the greedy are then led,
The righteous know Jesus as the treasure of our lives
More than our children, siblings, parents and husbands and wives.
He promises no earthly power
Yet in his name we none are afraid or cower,
Though he has left no written word
But, God was always heard.
His message has filled many countless pages
Which will last forever and has changed the ages,
In his weakness
We find our own meekness.
We find our courage and our strength
Stretched to the farthest length,
In his suffering we found our salvation
In our souls there's a continuous celebration.
We are now all heaven bound
When we were lost and him we found,
He continues to invite us into a story of redemption
With no exemption.
He will erase all worries and pain and suffering and strife
And we will give us love and eternal life,
His kingdom is forgiveness
He is always remembered at Christmas.
His words has transformed millions
He has saved billions,
He is truly the treasure of our lives
More than our children, siblings, husbands and wives.
All of his promises he does keep
Because, of him we will no longer will weep,
It is indeed no mystery
He is still the greatest man in history.
His book is the greatest selling book of all time
And he has never sinned or committed a crime,
He is our lord and our mighty loving savior
He makes us all stronger and braver.
He gives us strength whenever we are weak
His way the lost and the righteous will still seek.
He loves each and everyone of us
The greatest man there ever was. is Jesus.
